Meet Jenny!

CPA | Tax Partner

Jenny Hashley, CPA, is a Tax Partner at EHTC. She started her career with EHTC in 2000, and was promoted to Partner in January 2020. Jenny is a graduate of Western Michigan University with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and minors in General Business and Marketing. Prior to joining EHTC, Jenny worked for a local CPA firm in East Lansing, Michigan where she was responsible for tax return preparation and tax planning for a variety of entities.

Jenny considers herself a tax jack-of-all-trades— her expertise includes knowledge in the taxation of businesses, trusts, 5500s and individuals while specializing in consulting for closely held businesses and their owners. At EHTC, Jenny is responsible for tax planning, compliance, and trusts, as well as providing tax consulting to individuals, business, and business owners.

She always enjoyed accounting classes while in school and liked the ever-evolving aspects of the profession! Every busy season is different because of tax law changes, so she is constantly learning new things and applying them. Jenny really enjoys helping clients navigate through these changes. 

Jenny’s favorite part of working at EHTC is her teammates and the clients she’s served over the years. Her best piece of advice for anyone looking into tax work and accounting is to make time to take the CPA exam early in your career before life gets too busy. 

In addition to her role at EHTC, Jenny is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Women's Tax Association (MWTA).

Outside of work, Jenny loves traveling to new places, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.
