Meet Leslie!

Recruiting Director

Leslie Poot is the Recruiting Director at EHTC. She joined the public accounting industry as a Human Resources and Recruiting Professional right after graduating from Alma College in 1998. She finds her career both challenging and very rewarding. Leslie is thankful to have landed in the public accounting industry and has enjoyed working with others to support their career goals and growth.

Her specific job role at EHTC includes the planning, management, and execution of the entry level and experienced recruiting strategy for EHTC. She says each day in the office is different but she typically spends time connecting with potential candidates, as well as networking and building relationships with EHTC’s college/university partners. She considers the most important aspect of her job at EHTC to be building a recruiting strategy that will introduce the next level of talent at EHTC.

Her best piece of advice to those looking into this field of work, specifically to students she has crossed paths with, is that public accounting is a great foundation for your career because it provides the opportunity to work with many people in a variety of industries. Her favorite part of working at EHTC is how welcoming, friendly, and willing everyone is to share their experiences! 

Outside of work, Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband of over 20 years and their 2 boys. Her oldest son is away at college, and she enjoys every moment he is home. Her youngest son is in high school and they are often traveling and cheering him on from the sidelines during various sports seasons. When she has a free night or weekend during the summer, she really enjoys a round of golf.
