Meet Mark!

CPA | Assurance Senior Manager

Mark Langejans, CPA, is an Assurance Senior Manager at EHTC. Mark began as a tax intern for EHTC in 2015.

Mark chose this field of work not only because he excelled in his accounting classes, but also because of the job prospects post-graduation. He understands that being a CPA is less about being good at math and more about understanding accounting and the impact of the transactions. Mark got started in the finance/business industry by helping with accounting in a family owned business. He graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting, and later earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 2017.

Mark focuses his time on audits, reviews, and compilations within the firm. During the beginning of the year, he spends much of his time on broker dealer audits and large consolidated reviews as well as regulatory insurance company audits.

Mark also reviews the workpapers of fellow team members that go into the reviews, compilations, and audits that are required by banking or other regulatory agencies. He performs cross-department work by coordinating efforts with the tax department to supply the financials necessary for tax returns that are prepared by EHTC. In Mark’s role as Senior Manager, he reviews the work of other team members while ensuring they receive the training needed to keep the firm moving forward while meeting client expectations

Mark’s favorite parts of working at EHTC are the people, culture, and work environment.

He is a big fan of a variety of outdoor activities, including course water skiing, snow skiing, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
