Team Member Highlight: Brandon Rupert
Brandon Rupert is the IT Administrator at EHTC. He started working in the business and finance industry indirectly through his work in Information Technologies (IT). Brandon joined the Marine Corps open contract and was originally assigned a Data Network Specialist position. From there, he took a job at a bank providing IT support and since joined the EHTC team leading internal IT functions, focusing on firm-wide strategy and end-user support.
Brandon focuses on optimizing the IT environment at EHTC, embodying our commitment to “Best in Class Technology.” His time is divided between internal IT support and leading the implementation and adoption of new technology initiatives. Having a solid foundation for daily IT operations and support allows more emphasis to be placed on improvements and informed future initiatives, and minimizes the time technology is taking away from employee productivity. Brandon enjoys being the bridge between business needs and the technology products to determine innovative solutions.
He says, “Business operations are limited or enhanced by the technology supporting them. I like to take a proactive role in finding improvements and efficiencies within our current environment as well as ensuring we are planning for future technologies to cover changing business needs.”
Outside of the Office
Brandon grew up in Michigan but had been out of state for 15 years prior to working at EHTC. He says the best thing about being back in Michigan is being close enough to go to sporting events for the teams he grew up rooting for. Brandon also says football season is the best season. He took his son to the first football games with fans again post-COVID for both the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions said it was very cool!
Brandon loves being creative and competitive in whatever he does. Outside of work, he’s routinely trying new hobbies. Brandon loves cooking and previously worked in kitchens when he was younger, which he credits with his ability to learn techniques that allow him to create all kinds of new meals.
To fuel his day, you can find Brandon drinking black coffee— and only black coffee. He thinks cream, sugar, and all of the other crazy flavors are for people who don’t actually like coffee, so they make the taste less coffee-like.
